Infared "Tha General" (Hip Hop / Club / Hardcore Rap) Bio: Infared was born October 27, 1986 Duwayne Mitchell Jr. in Cook County Hospital Chicago, ILL and was raised on the south side until he was 11 years old. After his mother (Felicia Hamilton) and father (Duwayne Mitchell Sr.) split up in '97, his mother wanted a new start because her new job at Northwest Airlines offered a positon she moved him and his three other brothers James, Michael and Robert to Memphis TN. During his three year stay in Tennesee he embraced the new culture, but he and his brother James also got into small scuffles and a couple small legal problems as juvenilles during their time in Memphis. As her job warranted, his mother had to move him and his brothers once again. This time to Minnesota. Staying on the northside of Minneapolis he joined the choir at Franklin Middle School where he attended his sixth grade year. Even though he wasn't the best singer that's when he began his love for music. As struggles began to arise his mother had to send him and his brother to stay in Gary, IN with her mother Evelyn Newsom until she could find a stable home for a single mom and her four boys. As said to be one of the most troubling times of his life happened, May 22, 2000 while his mother was getting on the road leaving Minneapolis to pick up her boys from her mother in Gary, his Little brother Michael had and asthma attack and was rushed to the hospital. He recived a call at 9 pm saying Michael had past away. His life changed that second. The thought that life is precious and no day is guaranteed opened up his eyes.They eventually moved back to Minneapolis where he graduated from Richard R. Green Middle School on the the southside at the top of his 8th grade class. During his years in high school he was part of all types of clubs, groups and teams (Peer-Mediators, Basketball, Football, Aviation), in which he won all types of honors (Qwest for Excellence Student Of The Year in 2002, Freshmen Homecoming King 2001at Washburn High School) among others. He especially excelled in sports. Basketball was his favorite in which he won every different accolade you you can imagine (Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player, Most Outstanding Player , e.tc. ). He graduated From Columbia Heights High School in June of '05. While attending Columbia Heights he met the future mother of his son Marcia Carter. While dating Carter he was introduced to the independent Rap group Struggle T
