Alexandra Inglish

My name is Alexandra Inglish and I'm a 25-year-old Graduate Student at the University of Kansas. I'm currently enrolled in the Masters program in Strategic Communications in the KU William Allen White School of Journalism. I am working to obtain a degree that lets me work with companies to develop advertising and communications for them. My focus is on the company as a whole and how their image translates to the public. By studying how brand images are produced, transmitted and received, I can find the holes in a brand's image and work to fix them. While I'm interested in professional aspects of writing, I also write creatively. For personal work, I have written numerous short stories, novels, a play, a musical and screenplays.

I have studied English (Literature and Creative Writing) at the University of Kansas and obtained a Bachelor's degree from the University. I minored in Psychology to help me better understand the people I would be writing for and about. With a degree from the William Allen White School of Journalism, I hope to one day run my own advertising agency that focuses on the company as a whole - what their goals, desires and core values are - to not only sell a product or message, but to sell the company and build consumer loyalty for future products or messages they client wishes to distribute.
