Born and raised (or so my parents tried) in Toronto, Canada, the best way to describe me is that I am a mellow Canadian boy with an ability to party like an Irishman that lives in America! I am a very dedicated father of two awesome sons - Derek and Brody - and a fairly good husband of 15 years to Pamela.
After "trying-out" several schools in Toronto, I ended up finishing high school in Philadelphia - Military school... It was actually a ton of fun and I met some very cool guys that I can still call brothers. Plus, the Grateful Dead were always in the area.... From there I had a short stint in Tempe, AZ where I went to ASU to play football. An injury later and way too much fun, I went to schools and lived in places like Prescott, Moab, Laguna Beach, and all over Humboldt County. I finally got my degree in Economics from Humboldt State University, which is also where I met my amazing bride.
We moved back to Toronto right after graduation where I became a stock broker - the family business. It wasn't long before I remembered why I left Toronto in the first place, so we packed up and moved to Missoula, MT. It sounded like a cool place and I had visted a few times to fly-fish and run some whitewater. We stayed there for 5 years, where I became a dad - Derek. It was also there that I started my mortgage banking career. Once again, I got ants in my pants, and we moved to Portland, Oregon, where we still live now. Brody came along almost exactly 4 years after Derek, and that was 9 years ago. Time flys!!
I continued my banking career until about 4 months ago, when I threw in the towel. I ended up reaching the top of the corporate ladder, and I have to be honest when I say it was lonely and boring up there. Anyone who has known for for a a few years will always tell you that they thought it was weird that I was a banker. Hell, I thought it was weird.... But helping people and developing relationships is what I love to do, so it worked while it worked. Hey, the bills got paid....
It's now time to start something new and be exactly who I want to be! I absolutely love tattoo's and the tattoo industry. The problem is that I was not born with an artistic bone in my body. A good drawing from me consists of a stick figure and a box house...maybe a sun as well. Luckily, there is a lot more to the industry than being a great artist.
A new comapny has just hit the market called Tattoo Hero, and I just ac
