I am Dr. Dexter Mattox, DMD, MD, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and founder of Innova Dental Implant Institute in Brunswick, GA. A St. Simons Island native, I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia, focusing on genetics research. At the Dental College of Georgia, I was honored as the MCG Foundation Scholar for the Class of 2016. I then pursued a dual-degree residency at Case Western Reserve University, earning my Medical Doctorate while completing my Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training. My comprehensive medical background includes a one-year General Surgery internship, with experience in intensive care, anesthesiology, trauma surgery, pediatric surgery, ENT, and cosmetic surgery. I specialize in advanced dental implant procedures, utilizing innovative 3D modeling technology for precise surgical planning.
