Anoa Alimayu

I am a writer, student, loving wife and mother currently living in St. Louis, Missouri. Growing up, I attended an independently owned school and by the time I was in high school I was home-schooled. One of the other great aspects about my life is that I have been a West African dancer for about twenty years. I have been taught by instructors locally, nationally and internationally. In my attempt to find interesting things about myself I always think about my name in all its rarity. I have four names in total and all originate from African countries. My initials are A.N.O.A. which is in itself radical. My first name, Anoa, loosely translates as the first to know God's word. And while I have not been making it a goal to become some form of a prophetess, I have taken on that meaning to become not only a writer but also a passionate teacher.
