Cathy Vongnaraj

Born and raised in New York, Cathy spent much of her childhood hoarding all kinds of paper - magazine clips, journal tags, and Hello Kitty & Friends stationary. Her favorite store as a child is a local store called Hi-John's Stationary located in South Bronx on Fordham Road. Since then, she has been hooked. She self-taught herself how to fold origami and draw. In addition, she learned how to sew her junior year of high school in her Home Economics class. She then pursued her creative side by enrolling in an Art Elective class where her Art instructor, Ms. Lafrennie, persuaded her to take a course at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Unfortunately, her mother told her artists usually struggle and they didn't make money. Discouraged, Cathy pursued her career in business and marketing instead. In 2000, she enrolled in Business School at Rutgers University. While in college, Cathy joined a sorority and became one of the creative sister of the group. They nicknamed her "Craft Jane".

In 2005, she graduated from Rutgers Universty with a business degree in Marketing. She became a casino host at the Borgata, then migrated West to work for MGM International as a marketing executive.

In 2012, her love for crafting came back when she purchased a K & Co. Smash Book. Thanks to social media, she is now a part-time instructor at a local scrapbook store in Las Vegas. The rest is history!

She loves paper crafting, antique shopping and relaxing in her home in Southeast Henderson - a city 10 miles south of Las Vegas, which she shares with her boyfriend, Michael, and her 3 lb. chihuahua 'Cedes.
