"We're a third party marketing company," said manager Caleb Sims. "We are like a face-to-face Groupon or LivingSocial."
Sims began his career with Instinct as an entry-level salesman until he was able to work his way up to the managerial positions. He ran his own office out of Boston at 22 years old with four others. Sims was able to quadruple the size of his office in its first month.
"I'm proud of the relationships I've built here, including business partnerships and friendships," he said. "I enjoy the camaraderie. We all share the same goal, like a sports team." Sims aims high and hopes to compete for and win manager of the year.
In the near future, Instinct will delve into the business of LED lighting. LED lamps have a lifespan and electrical efficiency that is several times longer than incandescent lamps and are significantly longer than most fluorescent lamps.
Aside from making an effort to be environmentally conscious, the team at Instinct also supports a variety of not for profit organizations, including Stand Up for Kids and the American Breast Cancer Association. At Stand Up for Kids in Denver, the team at Instinct cooks meals for the city's underprivileged and homeless youth. Many, including Sims, continue to keep in contact with the children they built relationships with. For the American Breast Cancer Association, a percentage of the company's profits were donated to the organization.
Instinct is one of the fastest growing direct marketing firms in its region and has offices in the following locations: Boston, Chicago, Washington DC, Houston, Raleigh, and Providence. The company expects to expand into San Francisco, Oklahoma City, San Diego, and Seattle within the year.
