The Institute of World Politics

Operating in Washington, D.C., the Institute of World Politics is an independent, accredited graduate school that caters to students and professionals seeking careers in politics, national security, international affairs, and the military. Founded by Dr. John Lenczowski, the Institute of World Politics offers certificate programs and continuing education courses. Focused on statecraft and following a curriculum conceptualized by Dr. Lenczowski and developed by the school's faculty, the Institute offers a variety of courses on topics such as military strategy and foreign relations.

Since opening its doors to students in 1992, the school has strived to teach values of civic duty and virtue in an intellectually stimulating environment. Students gain insight into the operations of federal agencies, including the CIA and the Department of Defense, from traditional lecture courses taught by professors who possess academic understanding of and career experience in statecraft. Students also have the opportunity to participate in internships and study-abroad programs.

In addition to continuing education and certificate programs, the Institute of World Politics offers three Master’s degree programs that concentrate academically on national security, strategic intelligence, and foreign affairs.
