Ever since I can remember my favorite things have always been writing and music. As a teen I created a magazine out of my bedroom to write about and promote the mix tapes I would record from the radio & the DJs behind them. For some reason, it never occurred to me that I could make a living doing this.

Fast forward a number of years and something wonderful happened, the Internet. I was fortunate to meet some very innovative people at the right time & we started a website called LatinFlava.com. It was here that I first put my writing skills to work professionally, developing the sites voice & editorial direction. Eventually, we caught the attention of the late George Jackson, former movie producer & CEO of Motown & were integrated into UBO (Urban Box Office) his vision for online dominance. Then the bubble burst! It wasn’t long before I was back working in the corporate world. Eager to keep writing I kept my pen flowing for various website projects and magazines.

Wanting to spread my wings & take on my own project, I decided to embark on my own mission. What exactly it would be was the million dollar question. Turns out I had the answer within all along. That magazine I created in my bedroom was reborn as 1200Dreams.com.

Part magazine, part social network, 1200Dreams is a resource for fans and industry professionals to keep up with the nitelife scene through news, interviews, & feature stories. The site launched in earnest in January of 2009, I have been hard at work building it into a reputable source for well written content covering nitelife culture & its inhabitants ever since. What’s next? Taking 1200Dreams to the next level by expanding it beyond my editorial ambitions. This is only the beginning, but I’m having fun & this time I know exactly what I want to do.
