My art education began with ink drafting and technical drawing long before studying Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of Kassel, Germany. I have worked as an architect at the Hamburg-based Competition Department of von Gerkan, Marg and Partners Architects, mostly producing digital visualization.

In 2001 I established Visual-Dream, in short 'VD' as a rendering service provider for industrial designers and architects. Due to my early involvement with Digital Modelling, I finally set up an official reselling business offering software, training and design consultancy. The core product in VD portfolio is called Rhino3D, a popular modelling package developed by Robert & McNeel & Associates from Seattle. After 20+ years in business, VD is concerned a solid company. In 2019 I was appointed to be tech ambassador for Lechmann Engineering, a high-end manufacturer specialized in aluminum anodization and machining. We invested in several 3D printers to test them both for compatibility and artistic experiments along with Rhino and the generative plugin Grasshopper.

I have participated in multifaceted projects ranging from packaging design to superstructure modelling for the marine industry. My office is located in Berlin.

Through many years of experience in commercial workshops as well in academic seminars I have acquired solid training expertise. Recently I established an open research studio called Studio Liberation involving architects, designers and scientists alike. The main focus lies at the intersection of generative design, performative geometry and digital fabrication techniques. The studio is credited one project in Kelsterbach near Frankfurt - The Quartier ENKA Pergola. Studio Liberation is accepting commissions and is using the latest modeling and rendering software and hardware plus several 3D printers.
