Io Cyrus

The recipient of a Juris Doctor from the Northeastern University School of Law, Io Cyrus is an attorney with a focus on health law and regulatory compliance. Currently an Assistant General Counsel for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Cyrus also has experience as the Assistant Director and Administrator for the Adolescent AIDS Clinic at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. At Montefiore, Io assisted the medical director with oversight of a variety of HIV/AIDS prevention education and clinical programs; managed contracts with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and with the National Institutes of Health; and served as a liaison between her employer and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Additionally, Io Cyrus allocated funds and staff for the facility's adolescent HIV/AIDS clinic.

Subsequently, Cyrus served as an Associate with Mintz Levin. At the international law firm based in Boston, her clients included academic medical centers, biotechnology companies, national retail pharmacy chains, physician groups and medical device companies. Her work included issues related to Medicare, HIPAA, the FDA, state licensure boards and fraud and abuse investigations.
