Ionio Aguirre De Carcer
Director of flight operations in Barcelona, Spain
A former aviation professional, Ionio Aguirre De Carcer earned his private pilot’s license at ADP Airways Miami Flight School and secured a dispatch certification with Miami Dade College. After spending several years as a flight dispatcher with Lan Chile, where he created flight plans for flights from Miami to Chile, Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia, he joined Lloyd Aereo Boliviano as a director of flight operations in 2002. Ionio Aguirre De Carcer holds specialized certification in Boeing 767 aircraft by both the United States Federal Aviation Administration and Mexico’s Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics.
Making the shift from aviation to data analytics, Mr. De Carcer currently serves as a director of Latin America Regional Affairs for New Frontier Data, a firm that collects data for governments exploring the legalization and decriminalization of cannabis. Mr. De Carcer’s responsibilities include frequent travel throughout Latin America to meet with local officials, as well as the collection and reporting of cannabis consumer behavior.
