Ipek D Mehlum

Born in 1974, Istanbul - Turkey and moved to Norway as a 14 year old. I've always been fond of visual storytelling and theater. In 1996. I moved to the United States, Gallaudet University and had a goal to take an acting education. But found out after 2 years that it was better to get an education in Oslo. Completed 2 years at Nordic Black Theatre. I work at Teater Manu from 1999 to 2021. Using sign language on stage give the audience understanding and respect to the deaf minority group. Diversity has become an important issue in the Norwegian society. This diversity appears also on the theatrical stage. My interests range from Dramatic to Comedy. I am also interested in acting, Actress.
