I am fascinated with computers, cars, planes and space. Love working with exceptional people to build transformational technologies, products, and businesses. I spent most of my life in Miami and Chicago. But also spent considerable time in Silicon Valley and Beijing.

I was the Senior Vice President of Engineering & Global Product Development for Motorola Mobility, Google, and Lenovo Mobile Business Group until 2016. I am currently investing and/or advising early stage startups.

I got lucky early in my career and landed at Motorola where I found my passion aligned with company's mission to connect the world. I had an amazing opportunity to shape the mobile landscape by creating numerous industry-first product categories, including the original Droid smartphone, Google's first Android tablet, the first Android Wear smartwatch, and the first modular smartphone platform & ecosystem. My team also led the creation of foundational 4G technology & chipsets, multiple software platforms, and generated the industry-leading intellectual property.

In realizing our mission to connect the world, I also had the wonderful experience of building world-class multi-disciplined teams & sites in the U.S., Brazil, Europe, Korea, & China. I also built a lot of things along the way. Over 200 products and 500M+ devices shipped around the globe.

I believe that the most exciting part for all of us is still to come. The scale of the smartphone platform is enabling disruption of adjacent industries and business models. Rapid growth of new smart devices, ubiquitous broadband connectivity, and Artificial Intelligence are key enablers to transform the way we live, work and virtually experience everything. This is a tremendous time to disrupt and be a part of creating the future.
