Iqbal Fazlurrahman

I'm Iqbal, an infrastructure investment and PPP specialist based in Jakarta with 16 years of experience in Southeast Asia. Since June 2026 I have supported AIIB's Indonesia country program, working with the Ministry of Finance, Bappenas and line ministries on the sovereign pipeline.

Before that I spent nearly eight years at the Islamic Development Bank's Jakarta hub, managing a portfolio across health, transport, energy, agriculture and urban development. I co-led IHSS, co-financed with the World Bank, AIIB and ADB, and led IsDB's first non-sovereign financing in Indonesia. Earlier I worked on ADB and World Bank programs on PPP frameworks and project appraisal in Indonesia and Vietnam, and with Rebel Group on transport, water and urban transactions.

I am a Certified PPP Professional (CP3P) and hold an MSc in Management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I'm happy to talk with people starting out in infrastructure finance.
