IRAN DANIEL is an actor and Emmy® Award-winning television host who captivated Hispanic audiences in the U.S. and Latin America as the on-air entertainment correspondent for Telemundo’s top-rated morning show, Un Nuevo Día — the same program that made history by receiving the first-ever Daytime Emmy® Award for “Outstanding Morning Program in Spanish.”

Born and raised in Mexico City, Iran attended an American school where she learned to read and write in English before Spanish. While she still carries a slight Latin flair in her accent, she can count, dream, pray, joke — and very sparingly, curse — in both languages without missing a beat. She is also fluent in French and Italian.

Iran grew up in a family of politicians — the honest kind. Her grandfather served as mayor of the city where her father was raised, and her father later became mayor of the city where she grew up. As a result, she became involved in community service from a very young age.

Before high school, she attended the French Lycée to perfect her French. Prior to college, she took a couple of years off to work as a flight attendant for British Airways. She moved to London, from where she traveled to more than 45 countries — an experience that ignited her passion for photography and writing.

Back in Mexico, Televisa invited her to participate in the inaugural Nuestra Belleza beauty pageant, the newly established Miss Mexico franchise produced by Mexico’s first Miss Universe, Lupita Jones. As a finalist, she was offered a scholarship to the network’s prestigious acting program, CEA, but chose instead to complete her college education in Miami, where she graduated with a degree in Arts and a minor in Photography.

Iran earned her SAG card through television commercials before launching her broadcasting career as a host on Univision’s Sábado Gigante, the longest-running variety show in television history, with an audience of more than 100 million viewers across 42 countries. She later became the entertainment correspondent for Univision’s FIFA World Cup coverage.

She subsequently served as the red carpet host for the Latin American broadcast of the AFI Lifetime Achievement Awards (MGM Latin America) and was later hired by Telemundo to interview celebrities on the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, and Latin Grammys red carpets.

As an actor, she has appeared in numerous television and film projects, including 9-1-1 (FOX), Party of Five (Freeform/Hulu), The Comeback (HBO), Warren the Ape (MTV), and Nickelodeon’s iCarly.

Iran now lives in Los Angeles with her two bunnies, Licorice and Bellini, and is represented by:
