IRCTC PNR Status Check

Hi my name is gaurav, I am basically a web developer who works at CRIS (Center for Railway Information Systems).

As a software engineer we develop many websites for Indian Railways, and IRCTC. IRCTC is Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation which provide online ticketing and catering services for railway in India. It is a subsidary of Indian Railways.

When a railway ticket is issued to a customer the ticket has a 10 digit code printed on it. These 10 digits together forms a pnr number. PNR stands for passenger name record.

A customer can go to pnr status check site and get the reservation status to see if the ticket is confirmed or not.

There are millions of railway users in India and you can imagine how tough it would be to maintain the railway enquiry site we have developed.
