Welcome

My name is Irene, I am an Early Years Educator. I have a BA(Hons) in Early Childhood Education from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

I have extensive experience working with children, which is something I enjoy immensely. Currently I work as a Deputy Manager at Treetops Nursery , Lancaster and Morecambe College in Lancashire UK.

Some of the roles I have assumed in the past, include the following:

- Head of preschool classes in Kalogeropoulos school for 2 years
- Group leader at Sports Village Athitaki summer camp for 6 years, and Artistic activities supervisor at the same camp for 2 years

I am passionate about early years education and I try to remain on the cutting edge of my field by constantly attending seminars to supplement my knowledge. Apart from contemporary tools used in education (e.g. the Wellcomm screening tool for speech and language), I also focus on the areas of emerging trends and pedagogical approaches, arts music and movement in relation to children development, communication in the nursery and universal language.
