Irene Brennick

Irene Brennick has achieved considerable success as an award-winning community director, public speaker, and author. Highly involved in a variety of charitable endeavors, Irene Brennick currently serves as Director of Community Services at Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, California. A recipient of the First Humanitarian Award, Ms. Brennick has planned various health and education events and managed over 650 hospital volunteers since 2003. Further recognized as an Outstanding Alumni of Pierce College and a Sertoma Club Mother of the Year, Irene Brennick also founded GOALmodels. A program designed to help high school students at risk of dropping out achieve success and realize their full potential, GOALmodels facilitated two-way discussions between students and accomplished professionals working across a variety of fields.

Irene Brennick surmounted an array of personal obstacles when, through perseverance and dedication, she graduated from California State University, Northbridge, while raising two children as a single mother. After earning her Bachelor of Arts with honors in 1994, Ms. Brennick embarked on a career as a public speaker featured by the United Way of Los Angeles. Often invited to provide keynote addresses to corporate executives, entrepreneurs, middle-class workers, educators, and students, she emphasizes the importance of welfare reform, community support, and setting and realizing life goals. To date, she has addressed tens of thousands of people and recently authored the book, Bring Your Audience to Their Feet. Aimed at a broad base of readers, the book offers techniques to hone public speaking skills and effectively captivate audiences. Irene Brennick has also found success as a singer and songwriter, and performs a tribute to the previously unsung heroes of everyday life entitled "People Like You."
