Irene Salamo

My name is Irene Salamo, and I am a senior in college completing my Bachelor of Science in business administration, majoring in marketing.

As an International student in the United States, working hard has been a way of life since this journey began. When trying to fit in a different culture was not an option anymore, my goal changed to standing out and embracing my multicultural background to my advantage.

My worldly view has made me successful in my classes, as well as in my extracurricular activities. Despite all the barriers placed on International students, I was able to obtain a part time job to support myself, and an internship to gain real world experience in the marketing field.

Apart from school, some of my interests include exercising, particularly yoga, cooking, blogging, and designing. I am currently learning how to utilize Adobe Creative software for improving my digital designs. In my free time, I love watching BuzzFeed videos and reading different kinds of articles. As a respectable Florida student, I am also a theme park fanatic, and my dream job is to work at Universal Studio's marketing department.

My future plans, although somewhat ambiguous, involve attending graduate school for my MBA within the next year, and obtaining my first full-time employment.
