Irene is a communications specialist based in the Philippines.

For someone who is not a fan of politics, she landed her first job in a legislative office.

She later on tried following her passion--to write for print publications. She can proudly say that she was part of the team that produced the Philippines' first progressive parenting lifestyle magazine.

While she thought newswriting was her forte, she surprisingly thrived piecing together feature articles – from what makes a business tick to how companies hire their people and why the maritime community is as important as any part of one's history.

She again challenged herself by entering the world of public relations and corporate communications where not a single day is the same as yesterday and where coffee is as important as drinking water.
