Hello! I am Irina Frisher and I am the founder of an educational company called “Read to Succeed”.
A genuine interest to the English language, rhetoric and to the laws of communication has helped me write a PhD thesis and earn a doctorate degree in linguistics. And now more than ever before, I am fascinated by the humongous role of the oral and written communication in today`s world.
Being a college professor of the English language both in the US and abroad, I have been involved in the educational process for fifteen years. I have been teaching and developing various writing and reading courses for undergraduate students such as “Remedial College Writing”, “English Composition I” and “English Composition II”, “Business Writing”, “Reading Comprehension”, and “Critical Thinking”.
My experience as a linguist and as a teacher has shaped a desire to share my knowledge and vision of the principles of effective written communication with school students. Why? Because once I realized a simple truth that it is much easier to change people minds when they are younger and their perception is not blurred by some stereotypes and wrong habits. That was how and why “Read to Succeed” was born.
As a founder of this educational project, I believe that its main goal is to help middle and high school students improve their reading and writing skills and develop an ability to look at the process of written communication from a new angle.
