Irina Ciochiu
Founder & CEO of FlightHelp in Bucharest
I am a Romanian entrepreneur and legal professional, and the Founder and CEO of FlightHelp. My background is in law, which I studied at the University of Craiova, and it has shaped the way I approach problems in highly regulated industries. Early on, I became interested in how legal frameworks function in practice, especially when individuals struggle to access or understand them.
My work today focuses on passenger rights, particularly under EU261. I built FlightHelp to simplify the process of claiming compensation for flight delays, cancellations, and overbookings. My goal has always been to translate complex regulations into clear, practical systems that people can actually use.
I believe in building solutions that are both scalable and grounded in real-world needs. I focus on structure, measurable outcomes, and continuous improvement. Instead of overcomplicating problems, I break them down into manageable steps and prioritize what drives real impact.
At the core of my work is a simple idea. Legal protections only matter if people can use them. That is what drives me to keep improving the systems I build and to make passenger rights more accessible across Europe.I am a Romanian entrepreneur and legal professional, and the Founder and CEO of FlightHelp.
