Writing an 'about me' always seems like a difficult task. I am a funloving, outgoing, curious person, with a big interest in science. I wear Fivefinger Vibram shoes, eat mostly Paleo food, love psytrance music, dance a lot, always have some incense burning and share a house with my lovely boyfriend and our three amazing cats. I don't like the standard 'I am what I do for a living' approach, but it does provide a nice inside in my passions and day-to-day live. I currently work on four different research projects:
1. Vocational education in the Netherlands, led by prof. Sjoerd Karsten at the University of Amsterdam.
2. The Effect of Teacher Psychological States, School Organizational Factors, Leadership Factors and Teachers’ Professional Learning Factors on Teacher Practices in Dutch Secondary Schools, led by Femke Geijsel for Hogeschool Windesheim Zwolle and the University of Amsterdam.
3. Student drop-out amongst first-year students enrolled in Linguistic bachelor programs at the University of Amsterdam.
4. An independent research into the situation of deaf children growing up in Serrekunda, the Gambia.
