Hey! I am a young ethnographer from China, majoring in sociology at Wuhan University. My current research focuses on how people negotiate trust in offline social events and organize offline activities with social media. I'm eager to work with professional, innovative, and diverse-cultural teams about developing genuine youth insights. I have interned at Frog and also have 9+ months of qualitative fieldwork training in ethnography, digital ethnography, and desktop research. My expertise is in Chinese youth, Chinese social media use, and student social movements.
I love to listen to people's stories because I always get to learn new points of view and random facts. I believe in the butterfly effect because small changes can influence people's lives. My favorite book (for now) is Pollyanna because I love Pollyanna, the book's 11-year-old heroine, who always brings happiness to others and uses the "Happy theory" to influence people around her. Most of the time, I live like a chameleon; I can quickly adapt to the environment around me without changing my most fundamental features, like my value system and my positive energy.
