Iris Sancho Sanz

scientist in Bonn, Germany

I come from Granada ( Spain) but I live in Bonn (Germany) since three years now. I am Chemist, I finished my PhD in organometallics in winter 2013 and I have done a post-doc in theoretical chemistry in Bonn this last year. You can see my complete scientific profile in Research gate (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Iris_Sancho) , where you can see my scientific publications, prizes and work.

I do a lot of other things, I write (mostly poetry) in a blog (ecnil.blogspot.com), other stories in my new medium page (https://medium.com/@Irissan) and I sometimes collaborate with other magazines as yo can see here (http://www.pikaramagazine.com/2016/04/durante-los-ultimos-meses/ ). Communication is a really important matter for me. And to that passion I can add a good knowledge of Spanish, English and German.

I was scout girl and a scouter later on, over more than ten years, and that has been a big influence on my way to understanding life and nature. The scout-pedagogic stile and active leadership are skills that had stick deeply on me. They have ease my steps on improvise-theater, and other cultural organizations to which I have collaborated or even directed once I left the scout movement.

Last but not least I am a recent mother, or half recent, my half German daughter is already three now and this has been a big impulse for me into feminism issues that had always sound in my heart. I am interested into conciliation matters, maternity-work issues, engaged in several Women in Science initiatives and willing to learn and change as much as I can.
