Greetings, I’m Irma and I’m an Employee Success Partner living in Napa, California. I am a fan of hiking, innovation, healthy living, and basketball. You can visit my website with a click on the button above.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, I always grew up around a diverse community, large family, and in school, too. I enjoyed playing sports in high school all year round, with cross country, softball, and my favorite being basketball. In November 1999, I took a big risk of moving to Sacramento, CA shortly after coming out to my immediate family as a gay woman. That move was one of my biggest challenges, which helped me grow as a person and become independent. I never looked back and have been living in Northern California for close to 18 years now.

My first job was at Universal Studios Hollywood right out of high school. It was the best job to ever have! I first worked in various retail stores throughout the park, and enjoyed working with new people and meeting new people from around the world. In the summer of 1998, I was in a summer internship called an "Ambassador Program" with the HR recruiting department where I helped with new hire on-boarding by giving tours of the theme park. Four months later I was hired as a recruiter to assist with on going recruitment needs, and I jumped at the opportunity very quickly. And thus is how my passion for human resources began.

Today, I currently work for T-Mobile as an Employee Success Partner in Human Resources. However, I support the MetroPCS channels in Sacramento, San Francisco & Pacific Northwest. I have been with the company 13 years. My career began as an administrative assistant for the MetroPCS office in Folsom, and assisted in human resources duties. I was promoted to HR Coordinator 6 months later. In 2005, my supervisor at the time went out on maternity leave which provided another big challenge by owning all HR duties. Thanks to these few months, it helped challenge me, and truly helped me grow in my profession. I was then promoted to Human Resources Generalist in May 2005. I also supported the Las Vegas market for about 5 years.

In 2013, MetroPCS merged with T-Mobile and that is when I assumed responsibility of the San Francisco market. I was then promoted to HRBP in 2015. In May of 2017, I chose to voluntarily transfer from the Folsom office to Concord thus making a move to Napa. I am also the Co-chair of the Northern California Diveristy & Inclusion Chapter. I am an advocate of employee success.
