Wrapped up my last semester in college this August (2015), officially a college graduate! I thought this point would take forever to get to, but I am here. I am definitely proud of my hard work during these last 4 years. During my college courses I tried my hardest to keep up my Technology Youtube Channel, which I started in 2010. It was definitely a creative outlet for me, it was time that I could take to really do something I loved. The form that technology takes in our everyday lives is indescribably amazing and I am glad I could keep my passion for technology alive through creating video content. With that being said, early this year I took really hard look at my future.

At first, I was set on completing my college degree and moving on to pursue a career in the Health field. After much pondering and reflecting, I figured out that I would not be content pursuinga path in the Health field. The only constant thing throughout my life has been my love for computers, filming & editing. So why not take this hobby of mine and turn into something I can do for the rest of my life?

That's where programming came into my goals. For the couple of months I have been working to teach myself code, there are an endless amount of resources out there. I am also a member of Girl Develop It (they have such a great message) and for me, it is only the beginning of where web development could take me. I am a newbie but soon I will be an expert. It will take time but eventually I will be able to build websites, web apps and place my creative spin on upcoming work. I never considered myself an extremely creative individual, yet web development and its possibilities has sprouted an endless amount of ideas. I believe that to be a great sign. Let's do this!

Update: Proud to say I've been part of 2 hackathons since graduating, worked with amazing teams and coaches. Most recently, I even attended a Django girls workshop in NYC. I look forward to learning and immersing in Python.

Work hard and then work even harder.
