Roger Wang works for IBM Taiwan as the Associate Partner in the Global Business Service(GBS) department, for developing and delivering the consulting service business.

With the 15-year experience in IBM, Roger Wang starts his carrier as business consultant in telecom-industry to help the telecom operator to build its Data Service Platform which serves for the mobile applications, location-based services, and payment business. After that, Roger Wang contributes his experience to China market to help Shanghai Telecom to design and build its BOSS systems. Then replicates the experience back to Taiwan and help the local telecom operator to build the next-gen BOSS in Taiwan. During the period, Roger Wang grows the IBM business and gets promoted as the Sr. Managing Consultant in 2008.

As the Cloud business was introduced in 2007, Roger Wang innovates a new business model, Enterprise Application on the Cloud, to collaborate IBM’s core competency with Telecom operators core business capability to serve for SME market. With the business model innovation, Roger Wang gets promoted as the Associate Partner in 2013 and extends the business coverage from communication, to distribution and public sectors in IBM.

Before the IBM carrier, Roger Wang used to work for Alcatel Taiwan (1995~1999) as the Sr. engineer and responsible for the system integration projects. During that period, Roger Wang is responsible for delivering the complex SI projects, the police dispatching system, for the National Police Association(NPA). Besides, Roger Wang also help to build the first Intelligent Network(IN) Lab. In Taiwan and delivers the first complex IN projects, Personal Number and Virtual Private Network for Chunghwa Telecom in 1997~1999.

After Alcatel, Roger Wang continues to his carrier in Telecom industry and works for Taiwan Mobile, the mobile network operator, from 1999~2001 before joining IBM. As working for Taiwan Mobile, Roger Wang leads the team to build the first Wireless Application Platform(WAP) for Mobile Internet business. As the team’s contribution, Taiwan Mobile becomes the first telecom operator to provide both voice and data services in Taiwan market.
