I have recently completed my B.A. in Radio and Television Studies at Ryerson University. I have taken on several different internships in the field of media, commercial production, and studio production and I am hoping to expand my knowledge and experience in the these areas. I am very interested in the areas of pre-production and production for both television, documentary and commercial production. I am currently interning in San Francisco at Loteria Films, a documentary production company home to award winning filmmakers Katie Galloway and Kelly Duane de la Vega.
"Loteria’s documentaries have been honored by numerous awards and nominations including the WGA’s Best Documentary Screenplay Award, the Gotham Independent Film Best Documentary Award and multiple National Emmy nominations. LOTERIA’S Directing/Producing/Writing team brings strong cinematic and journalistic backgrounds and a history of theatrically released and nationally broadcast films. Galloway and Duane de la Vega’s films have aired on the PBS independent film series POV, PBS FRONTLINE, IFC, The Documentary Channel and elsewhere. LOTERIA documentaries have driven news coverage and public discussion to a range of important issues, been used as educational tools and instruments of social change by high schools, universities, community and policy groups and have been screened and discussed in film festivals around the world."
I have a passion for storytelling and travel and these two forces have helped drive me into the video production industry. From working early on in a live studio setting, to commercial production and now documentary production, I have been exposed to a large scale of story telling on many media formats. I am seeking opportunities in the television, commerical and documentary instutries in both pre-production and production. I have experience and skills in production corrdination, field producing shoots and producing quality, meaningful content both in a non-profit and commercial setting.
