Google referenced Wikipedia in saying that “Social entrepreneurship is the use of the techniques by start up companies and other entrepreneurs to develop, fund and implement solutions to social, cultural, or environmental issues. This concept may be applied to a variety of organizations with different sizes, aims, and beliefs.”
In other words, Social entrepreneurship is how companies put into action plans to solve some kind of issue.
For an example, Maasai Richard Turere, a young entrepreneur from Kitengela developed “lion lights”. These lights deal with the issue of lions eating livestock. This was both a social and environmental issue for these people. The lion lights flash periodically, stopping the lions from sneaking up and not approaching the lights. This has kept their livestock safe, and haven’t lost a single goat or cow since they implemented the lights.

My dreams for financial security are big, and this class I think can begin building those skills I hope to have in the near future (5-10 years)
My name is Isaac Nicholes, my family is living in Virginia, and I was born there, but have only spent a little over half my life there periodically. I am Majoring in Marine Biology with a minor in entrepreneurship.
