Isabel Sobrevilla

I consider my work the result of my passions, of my conflicts with the world and with the nature that surrounds me, wherever I am.

I work in different media, watercolors, acrylics and oils, also different supports as paper, canvas and wood. Lately I am working with images in the computer with the Adobe Photoshop program, sometimes I use images of my own paintings, sometimes I combine them with photos that I take of reality, or from other artists, that I transform into a new form, when ready I print them on canvas to obtain a different result. I apply color in thin layers, and glazes sometimes over gesso.

As in any other creative process, it is based on searching and analysis; there is an evolution and a result.

Considero mi trabajo como el resultado de mis pasiones, de mis conflictos con el mundo y con la naturaleza que me rodea donde quiera que me encuentre. Soy básicamente una pintora abstracta, utilizo diferentes medios, acuarelas, acrílicos y oleos, en diferentes soportes, papel, lienzo o madera; donde aplico el color en delgadas capas. Como en todo proceso creativo me baso en la investigación, búsqueda y análisis.
