Isabel Alejandra Escobar Basurto
Student in Ciudad de México, México
My name is Isabel, and I am a senior high school student currently living in Mexico City. My interests range from arts and to science. I am also interested in singing, volunteering, and photographing. I also love to travel and meet new people.
Two of the most memorable experiences occurred last year when I took part in an exchange program in Berlin, Germany. Besides attending a German high school, the most rewarding adventure took place while I volunteered in one of the many refugee camps within the city. My activities consisted mainly of organizing several recreational activities for kids and helping in the area of counseling.
As a result, I am now concerned with social and political issues regarding welfare and security around the globe. I have also volunteered in my country and participated in the contest "Global Dialogues Mexico" as a judge.
I speak Spanish (native), English (C1) and German (B1). My main strengths include being open-minded, adaptable, organized, friendly and empathetic. I plan to become a a doctor in the near future, as I like to help people.

I truly believe that the most needed thing in the world is what you have come here to give to it.
