It was apparent to Isabelle that yoga was her calling from the first time she placed her hands on a mat. From that point, it was a long journey of exploration. She began teaching yoga in 1999, to a small intimate group of yogis. In 2001, she became certified by 8 Limbs Yoga Centers in Seattle, Baptiste Power Yoga Institute, Levels 1 & 2, Bryan Kest Power Yoga teacher training, & currently working on Rod Stryker's Para Yoga Master Teacher certification. Her personal practice has changed from the intensity of any set style and has turned more inward, honing a strong flow that is attentive to the body in motion and grounding stability from our deep core. A total free spirit from Seattle, her style is creative while being inclusive of her student’s needs by creating a space to explore their various stages of their practice. Her classes incorporate the focus of breath flow & inner focus through pranayama & meditation, core work through dynamic vinyasa sequencing, accurate alignment, & inversions that cultivate a deeper sense of connectedness, or inner dristhi, for our moving meditations. There is always a focus on core work as it is the epicenter of our body & direct link to inner work. Isabelle combines her own experience her practice with the gifts of knowledge she has learned in the form of personal insight and life experience. This creates engaging, yet strong classes are engaging, strong, and address energetic blocks in the body & mind. Isabelle encourages honoring our own inner teacher as the ultimate guide in practice; the teacher is what happens on the mat. Her only goal is that we share our yoga experience in our lives and that we continue to practice to develop an ongoing deeper sense of awareness.
