Throughout most of my life, I have garnered an extreme appreciation for the mysteries of the human body and the power of prose. These two interests have led me to pursue a career path that blends the sciences with creativity. As an aspiring physician and journalist, I hope to connect the medical realm with forms of digital and print communications.

I am a recent graduate of Brown University earning a B.A. in Anthropology with Honors. I have served as a pediatric unit intern at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. I have also participated in the Health Careers Opportunity Program through New York University Medical Center.

During this internship, I shadowed Child Life specialists within the Hassenfeld Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. In the summer of 2014, I was selected as a Journalism and Communications intern for Alley; a co-working space for start-up companies and entrepreneurs in New York City.

Also, I worked as an editorial intern at Black Entertainment Television in the summer of 2015. During the summer of 2016, I worked as a business operations and communications intern for Brightpoint Health, a health center focused on serving disenfranchised populations.

Currently, I work as a full-time college counselor with College Advising Corps; a national non-profit focused on increasing the number of low-income and underrepresented students applying and enrolling in college.
