Isaiah Teeny

Hello, I’m Isaiah Teeny, most people call me Teeny. Born and Raised in the Portland Metro area my entire life, I pretty much know it like the back of my hand. Growing up middle to lower class, my parents being entrepreneurs, hard work was not unfamiliar in our family or for me from a young age. I started working at my parents factory after school and during the summers at the age of 7. After working at the bakery until the age of 14 when I got into the restaurant business and started serving tables while going to school. I continued my education into college and got a degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship.

One day I was watching my brother play with one of his little point and shoot cameras he had gotten at the time, it shot great video and 24 megapixels. I still remember the moment like it was yesterday, that camera sparked it all. I was entrained and asked him what I should buy. I had always shot photos on my Iphone and people had told me I had ” the eye ”, not having a clew what they meant at the time, but I assumed it was a good thing. After a bunch of research I was pretty impressed with the mirrorless technology my brother showed me sony had just recently introduced, so my brother convinced me on going sony. Bought my first Sony a6000 with the sony adapter and the Sigma f1.8 art lens and it was all up hill from there. Best decision I ever made. Never thinking this would become my career, but once I got that camera, my life completely changed.. no joke. I fell in love. Once I picked up that camera, it gave me an excuse and an escape from the things and the people I was hanging with at the time. Having a passion for exploring and envisioning things different or in my own perception, the camera gave me the chance to capture what I saw visually.

I developed a really moody style of photography from the forefront with dark contrast colors and sharp tones. My style was heavily influenced after falling in love with street style photography artists I found on Instagram. My favorite artists all seemed to be based out of New York like @lastsuspect, @13thwitness, and @blacksoap. After I picked up that camera.. I never sat it down..

I’m a professional photographer that specializes in creating appealing visuals, with a strong background in Lightroom, along with working in photoshop and premier pro. Whether on set at a photoshoot, or in the woods working cinematography, I bring the vision to life.
