Isamar Caban

I am participating in the Summer Research Opportunity Program at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am researching in the Genetics and Bacteriology Field, under the advice of Dr.James M. Slauch. I am working in how sRNA can regulate the expression of the hilA, responsible of the regulation of the Salmonella Pathogenicity Island 1 (SPI 1).

Actually I am senior at the Interamerican Univeristy of Puerto Rico at Aguadilla. My major is in Microbiology. After I graduate I am planning on pursing a PhD on Cancer Biology.
