Mark Isham
MARK ISHAM teaches business, team, and technical writing at the University of Iowa and gives seminars in business writing to a wide variety of companies.
He has taught Managerial Communications for the MBA program at the University of Iowa and taught at Coe College and Kirkwood Community College.
Mark helped found and consults with the Hanson Center for Technical Communication in the College of Engineering and has written reports for the National Science Foundation.
He gives faculty seminars on using cartoons for student reflection and in his classes students create cartoons to reflect on team writing experiences with clients and to reflect on job searches. Mark also teaches a seminar on using a wide range of cartoon techniques to improve writing.
Mark has lectured on graphic note taking and created a cartoon record for technology seminars. He creates cartoon reports for trips he takes for the University of Iowa and has discussed making comics as a way to improve writing on Public Radio. Recently he has written on teaching in high technology classrooms and High Impact Learning.
