Ishant Jain

Ishant Jain is working with Tata Steel Limited, since July 2011, having come to the company from a distinguished academic and professional career. After graduating B-Tech Honours with Mechanical Engineering in 2009, and was a recent post graduate from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, in 2011, with specialization in process modelling from Material and Metallurgical Engineering department.

Prior to present work as Research Manager in Research and Development and Scientific services, has had worked as Overall Placement Coordinator for one complete year at IIT Kanpur and, was responsible for the placement of 950 students. I was elected, as senator, representative for post graduate students in student Gymkhana, IIT Kanpur and, Batch Coordinator for the passing our Batch of 2011. At Tata steel,

He was the member of the core organizing committee, ‘National metallurgical Day’ – 2012 and ‘Annual Technical Meeting’ – 2012, held in Nov 2012 at Jamshedpur, under the presence of the honourable Steel Minister of India, Mr Beni Prasad as Chief Guest. He initiated, and founded, the IITK Alumni Jamshedpur Chapter, leading to non- profit project as a contribution to the city of Jamshedpur. Cuttently , he is working for the welfare of the environment and creating awareness among the children towards the animals.
