Ishmael Bishop

Ishmael comes from small towns in the South. In his blog he mentions attending 'pocket churches" and living in small apartments on a teacher salary with his mother and sister, Nia. The three of them moved to back to North Carolina in 2008 where Ishmael attended and graduated from high school in 2012. Now a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill expected to graduate in May 2016, Ishmael has the world to consider going forward. He is a consistent blogger to his site thekeytokuumba.wordpress.com. A space dedicated to the (re)creation of old and new possibilities, art and identities. When not at his desk, Ishmael takes care of his virtual pets and is reading his fill of queer theory.
