Ishtiaq Khan is a Pakistani peace activist, award-winning community leader, Restorative Justice Practitioner, Refugee Resettlement Specialist, nonprofit founder, global traveler, and digital creator based in the United States.
He is the founder and president of Humanity Act Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on community empowerment, social inclusion, humanitarian initiatives, leadership development, and intercultural understanding.
Ishtiaq Khan is also the creator of Ishtiaq Abroad, a travel and cultural storytelling platform where he documents his journeys, cultural experiences, and human-interest stories from around the world. Having traveled to more than 33 countries, he uses travel storytelling to promote tourism, global awareness, cultural exchange, and international understanding.
A graduate of Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) in Virginia, United States, and a CJP Fellow, Ishtiaq Khan works in the fields of restorative justice, peacebuilding, community mediation, refugee resettlement, immigrant integration, and social impact leadership. Fluent in five languages, he is known for building bridges between diverse communities through dialogue, education, and service.
In recognition of his contributions to immigrant engagement and community leadership, Ishtiaq Khan received the 2025 Immigrant Leadership Award from the Champaign-Urbana Immigration Forum in Illinois, United States. His work has been featured in media publications, community organizations, educational institutions, nonprofit networks, and international platforms.
Through Humanity Act Foundationand Ishtiaq Abroad, he continues to advance community development, peacebuilding, humanitarian action, travel education, and cross-cultural understanding on a global scale.
