Anthropologist, filmmaker and programmer. His field of research is the study of the media as cultural representation systems using the action research method, and the development of computer tools to organise and produce audiovisual contents. In 2005, he founded the Visual and Media Anthropology Archive, a dissemination and distribution network of ethnographic film from various universities in Europe, the Americas and Africa. Since 2008, he has been the project director of the Social Media-Lab in Citilab Cornellà, where he develops research systems into the management of audiovisual knowledge with citizen participation.
