My Journey From Islam To Christianity
Student, Daughter of the Most High, and Volunteer in Iowa
Hey there, I’m a student living in Iowa. I am a lover of Jesus. I enjoy reading, gardening, and cooking. I’m also interested in volunteering and public speaking.
As stated in bold letters, I converted from Islam to Christianity. Well, I didn’t convert right away from one to the other, actually. I left Islam first, became just a “theist” for quite a while, until Jesus found me.
There are thousands of Muslims converting to Christianity every year. I personally know very many of them. I also know for a fact that in some Islamic countries and Muslim majority countries, a lot of Muslims secretly convert to Christianity without ever telling anyone else about their conversion out of fear to the social repercussions they would have to face.
Anyways, who am I? How do I know this? Why do I care?
I was raised as a Muslim for the first 12 years of my life, yes I converted at the age of 12. I attended muslim boarding schools that focuses on the Qur’an and Hadits, I have learned the fiqih, aqidah and the history of Islam. I was forced to live in a Muslim country for 2 years, I was 14 at the time and I escaped at the age of 17.
My purpose is to share my knowledge. I love sharing my experiences, opinions, research, and most importantly, my testimony.
