István Szabó

Istvan is a member of the Board of Directors, responsible for Strategy & Business Development in MMH Group.

Prior to this assignment Istvan worked at various financial institutions including CIB Bank (Intesa Sanpaolo) Citibank, K&H Bank (KBC) and Porsche Bank over the last 21 years.

Istvan is member of the board of directors of the Hungarian United Way Foundation, a charitable organization and also member of the board of directors of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hungary and the Hungarian Joint-Venture Association and sits on the advisory committee of the MSc Finance program of CEU.

In 2006 and 2007 Istvan was also a member of the board of the Hungarian Leasing Association where he was instrumental in reshaping the association into an efficient and professional organization that could effectively represent the leasing industry in front of regulators and other government organizations.

Istvan has a masters degree from the University of Economic Sciences of Budapest, Hungary.

Istvan is an active sportsman, besides frequently going to the gym, he does boxing, slalom water skiing and snowboarding, and rides his motorbike in his free time.
