Italian Translations, Mark Pisoni
Small Business Owner in Washington, DC
My name is Mark L. Pisoni and I am General Manager and Senior Italian Linguist for the Italian Translations Company, LLC (Washington, DC metro area), and for Eurolanguages, a company concentrating on French, Italian and English (Montreal). After working as conference interpreter, including for the President of the United States, the President of Italy and several Italian Prime Ministers, I now also manage my two companies. I still interpret personally on occasion (simultaneous and consecutive), including recently for Italian Prime Minister Renzi. My two companies provide interpreters in many languages for international conferences such as the Fiat-Chrysler (FCA) annual meeting in Detroit. In May 2015 I interpreted for a ceremony celebrating the 70th Anniversary of World War II in Italy. On occasion I also take fun assignments, such as interpreting for Miss Italy at the Miss Universe Pageant. My specialty translation fields are finance, business and legal. As a company we handle interpreting projects (spoken), as well as translation and proofreading for depositions, personal documents, literature, personal correspondence, dubbing, subtitles, quality assurance tasks and transcriptions in the Italian language and several of its dialects. Our main specialty is translating documents Italian to English and vice versa. For select subjects we also provide top linguistic skills in French, Spanish and German. We use CAT tools and extensive industry specific proprietary glossaries. We offer translations and transcribing of documents and texts in several foreign languages, bug reporting, interpreting, voiceovers, localization projects, as well as language lessons (in person or using Skype). We have a roster of reliable, time-tested Italian linguists based in Italy, the United States and Canada, providing a full range of language services. The main areas my team of linguist concentrates on are: finance, business, legal, marketing, engineering, IT and medical (especially clinical studies).
