Engineer, Consultant, and Project Manager in Asaba, Nigeria
I serve as the Head of Engineering for Theokaris Technology Services Limited where we're constantly mapping out novel solutions to the critical challenges of society, developing insights on the most pressing issues, and helping organizations stay on the cutting-edge of technology. With over 8+ years of experience in the information technology space, I regularly consult for startups, small businesses and enterprises on information technology procurement, installation, integration, support, and strategy.
As an avid community development crusader, I work with Delta State Innovation Hub to organize the monthly Asaba Tech Meetup (a monthly showcase for tech projects, initiatives and innovations in Delta State, the South-South Region and beyond), with Startup Grind Asaba to host monthly events designed to educate, inspire, and connect entrepreneurs and founders (which is powered by Google for Entrepreneurs) and as Protocol for Y.A.L.I Network Asaba (a signature effort of the U.S. Department of State to invest in the next generation of African leaders). Previously I worked with the N.Y.S.C/N.D.L.E.A Drug-Free C.D.S group, a government-backed initiative to reduce the incidence of drug-abuse among rural youths through advocacy and sensitization.
I graduated from the Federal University of Technology, Akure with a Honors degree (B. Eng) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. I was an N.N.P.C/ Mobil Nigeria Unlimited Scholar, a Zain Africa Challenge International Scholar, received the Vice-Chancellor's Award for outstanding contribution to the development of the University, and I'm currently studying at the Hewlett-Packard Learning Initiative For Entrepreneurs.
Beyond being a techie and avid football-lover, I'm also interested in how themes such as artificial intelligence, multi-sided platforms, hyper-connectivity, design thinking, impact investing, and social entrepreneurship are shaping the culture and changing the narrative of the times we live in!
