It's Just Lunch (IJL) doesn't offer high-tech hook-ups. The matchmaking service sets up busy, professional singles for lunch dates based on personal interviews instead of the much-maligned introduction videos or online dating pools. The company, which franchises more than 100 offices in Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, Europe, Singapore, and the US, charges singles around $1,000 for a series of dates (prices vary by location). It boasts having arranged more than 2 million dates since its inception. Founder Andrea McGinty established the company in 1991 after her fiancé jilted her weeks before their wedding. She sold IJL to The Riverside Company in 2006.
