Naziol S. Nazarinia
Naz is currently an Attorney at Richards Brandt Miller Nelson in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Her previous work includes serving as a Fellow at the Lassonde Entrepreneur Center where she researched commercialization opportunities for a surgical device used by breast cancer surgeons and as a legal intern in the Misdemeanors Division at the Salt Lake Legal Defenders Office. Her range of legal experiences expand into state and local regulatory law at Property Solutions International in Provo, Utah; drafting contracts, licensing, permission and representation agreements for CMG Brands and CMG Worldwide in West Hollywood, California; and researching Copyright Law and the preemption of contracts for an academic publication.
Naz will be published in the University of Denver Sports and Entertainment Law Journal in Fall of 2013 discussing Copyright Terminations which began taking effect in 2013. She also has a passion for community involvement and enjoys the arts, combining the two by serving on the board of the Utah Lawyers for the Arts, Utah Cultural Alliance.
Prior to her legal career, she worked professionally in the marketing, broadcast and events industries. Naz began her career at one of the most recognized alternative rock stations in the country, KXRK X-96. She then accepted a position as the Director of Marketing and Special Events at Park City’s Historic Egyptian Theatre—the crown-jewel of Park City—and the most recognized venue at the annual Sundance Film Festival. Naz later joined one of the largest Utah based advertising agencies, The Summit Group, as a Media Buyer where she used her analytic, reasoning and strategic marketing skills in 18+ markets for clients such as Subway Restaurants and T-Mobile.
Naz's previous experiences have given her skills to identify stakeholders and address their differing needs and she is excited about any future opportunities that await her. Naz spends her free time with family and friends.
