Ivah Sound

Ivah Sound is a sound system and DJ collective formed in Helsinki during early 2010. The collective consists of six members, MC's and DJ's. United by a common passion for heavy bass music, with styles ranging all the way from roots reggae to steppers, jungle and drum & bass.

Their music is delivered by a mighty self-built sound system, constantly evolving as the team creates new additions to their arsenal of speakers. They also rent these speakers out to help other people arrange new events and promote sound system culture. The bass of Ivah Sound system has been heard at parties and festivals throughout Finland.

Since they formed in 2010 Ivah Sound has arranged and played at festivals, parties and clubs around Finland, Scandinavia and the Baltics.
In Helsinki they had hundred Tuesdays together with the SubzUp DJ collective, which was followed by many of their own clubs and parties all around Finland. They have also hosted a lot of events with other Finnish sound systems and collectives, always emphasizing the importance of collaborative work.

During the summer of 2013 Ivah Sound played at Scandinavian Reggae Festival in Copenhagen as well as provided support for Major Lazer with their sound system in Helsinki. Lately, projects undertaken have included a radioshow on Helsinki Lähiradio as well as their own sound system club for early 2014. They are always looking forward with more ambitious projects trying to develop both their own sound and path.
