I'm Ivan Dominic Purisima. I'm an aspiring Music Theater actor. I'm currently a 4th year student at University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music majoring in BM Music Theater Performance under the tutelage of Ms. Mary Patrice Pacis.

I’ve always been exposed to Music Theater. When I was a kid, watching Disney movies during a Saturday Night is a tradition in our family. Disney songs has been engraved in my mind and as a result, I continue to sing them while doing chores, while doing homework, and while playing with my friends. Even though we didn't have enough money to watch a Music Theater production, I was slowly developing the love for Music Theater because of Disney Movies.

However, I did not expect to be in the world of Music Theater. While studying in our local Elementary School, my parents always urged me to be a Civil Engineer like my father. Although, that same year 2007, they enrolled me in the school ensemble group that is composed of Bamboo Instruments. I held a bamboo instrument that only produces the note G whenever I blew on to it. I had incredible experiences with the ensemble. We played in the opening of the Andalusia Galleon when it visited the Philippines in 2010 and we are the entrance ensemble for Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo when she visited our school in 2007. My love for music grew each year I’m with that group until I graduated in 2012.

Even though singing was a part of my childhood, my burning passion for it kicked in when I was in Junior High School. I joined our school choir named UST Junior Highschool Glee Club. It was there I formally got a basic Music education. It was also there where I explored the techniques of my Voice. I experienced my first music competition with that choir in 2016 Voices in Harmony Choral Competition. Then, that same year I decided that I'll pursue Music Theater.

Presently, I am a 4th year Music Theater college student. My latest achievements are as follows. I participated at Lea and Gerard Salonga's Masterclass last September 2022 and I became a Trainee of the UST Singers under Sir Fidel G. Calalang Jr. last October 2022. Still, I dream of performing solo on stage with hundreds of audiences watching. In doing so, it'll further expand my experiences and further enhance my Musical Capabilities.
